The role
Key Responsibilities
Conduct virtual triage assessments via phone.
Assess, prioritize, and document patient symptoms.
Provide appropriate medical guidance within scope of practice.
Escalate urgent or complex cases to healthcare providers when necessary.
Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care.
Manage inbound and outbound patient calls.
Maintain accurate records within EMR systems.
What's required to apply
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN or equivalent).
Licensed Nurse
Required Experience
Experience in virtual healthcare, telehealth, or remote nursing roles.
Experience in medical virtual assistant and/or healthcare administrative positions.
Experience handling patient triage and symptom assessment.
Experience documenting patient encounters in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Familiarity with appointment scheduling and call management.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of:
Medical terminology
Clinical symptom assessment
US healthcare processes and workflows
EMR experience, preferably with eClinicalWorks (ECW).
Ability to accurately document patient interactions.
Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute (WPM).
