The role
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care.
Serve as a primary point of contact for patient inquiries and concerns.
Communicate with healthcare providers, specialists, and facilities regarding patient care needs.
Monitor and track patient care plans and appointment compliance.
Maintain accurate documentation within EHR/EMR systems.
Assist with insurance verification, authorizations, and referral coordination when needed.
Support administrative and care coordination activities to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN or equivalent).
Licensed Nurse
Required Experience
Experience as a Patient Care Coordinator, Healthcare Virtual Assistant, Medical Receptionist, Medical Scheduler, or in a healthcare support role.
Experience coordinating patient care, appointments, referrals, and follow-up services.
Experience communicating with patients, providers, and healthcare facilities.
Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Required Skills

Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Ability to coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-ups efficiently.

Medical, nursing, healthcare administration, or allied health educational background.
Experience supporting US-based healthcare providers, clinics, or hospitals.
Knowledge of US healthcare processes, insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations.
Experience with patient intake, care planning, and case coordination.
